Vivo S1 Pro review: civilian flagship with full screen support from Zero Realm

In 2019, after the sub-brand iQOO became popular, vivo added a new S series in addition to the regular X series. But when we put the X series and the S series together, we suddenly discovered that the S series can be called "civilian flagship" in terms of appearance design, performance configuration, camera experience and quality.

Exterior
You can hardly think of my first feeling as an iPhone XR user when I saw the vivo S1 Pro: If it were not for the A series processor and IOS system, the iPhone might have fallen to the altar.

Like the predecessor X27, the vivo S1 Pro still uses a zero-range full-screen design with a screen ratio of 91.64%. I have to say that without bangs and digging, the front of the screen is more harmonious after maintaining a consistent visual impact. If you think that the full screen is just that, then you are wrong. Under the influence of true full screen and 19.5: 9 screen ratio, this 6.39-inch screen of vivo S1 Pro keeps the body width of 74.71mm, making it more comfortable to hold.

So where did the camera and handset go? The vivo S1 Pro still uses a mature solution in this process: a lifting front camera + hidden handset design.

On the back of the fuselage, the vivo S1 Pro is made of glass, and in terms of design, it continues the consistent fashion design concept of vivo. In addition to the midsummer dream color scheme in my hand, there are two colors of love blue and coral red, of course, no matter which This kind of hand will become the focus of passers-by.

The vivo S1 Pro keeps up with the trend of the camera, adopts a three-camera combination, and arranges it vertically. The dual color temperature flash is designed between the two cameras.

At the same time, at the edge of the glass on the back of the fuselage, the vivo S1 Pro makes a relatively large arc angle, which is more in line with the arc of our palms. The most intuitive feeling is that it feels more comfortable.

The layout of the keys and interface of the vivo S1 Pro is the same as its exterior design. From the top to the bottom of the fuselage, there are TF card slots and Jovi AI independent buttons, which are very rare designs. In terms of practicability, compared with the or card slot, the design of the independent TF card slot allows the mobile phone to use two SIM cards while expanding the capacity of the phone through the TF card.

The key positions on the right side of the fuselage are more conventional, in order: volume +, volume-and power button.

From left to right, the top of the fuselage is a noise reduction microphone, a 3.5mm standard headphone jack, and a lift-type front camera.

Performance
Vivo S1 Pro uses Qualcomm's new mid-range mobile platform: Snapdragon 675. In terms of memory and storage, it is equipped with a combination of a minimum of 6GB + 128GB and a maximum of 8GB + 256GB, which can fully meet our daily needs for mobile phone speed and storage space.

In the AnTuTu test, the vivo S1 Pro's running score was beyond my expectations. The 20W running score is much higher than that of the Snapdragon 710. It can be seen that the overall performance of the Snapdragon 675 is better than that of the Snapdragon 710. In addition, the performance of S1 Pro memory and storage is also excellent. LPDDR4X and USF2.0 even let me see the shadow of the flagship machine.

In actual tests, take the recently popular "Bubble Kart" as an example to see how the performance of the vivo S1 Pro is. Before testing, first set the game's image quality to the highest, and turn on the high frame rate mode, flood effect and high-definition display.

The fluency during the game is very good. Startup, acceleration, tail-flicking, and drifting are done in one go. There is no stalling. The frame rate can be maintained between 50-60fps throughout the game. The game experience is very good. So in terms of performance, in fact, you don't have to worry about it. The vivo S1 Pro not only can easily handle daily use, but even the game can run smoothly.
